This second in a series of intensives for the year will focus on the use of standing poses and inversions. The standing asanas develop the relationship the legs have with the spine: they enable good support in keeping the spine erect and mobile.
With the practice of Inversions and the change of gestalt, the legs exist above the spine and this in turn asks something extra of the upper spine. It is through constant practice, an inter-relatedness of supporting structures – legs for spine or spine for legs – that an energetic shape not only becomes possible but that it stays alive in our system.
This intensive is open to those with at least six months experience.
